Locksmith License (Locksmith Business License)

Issued by the Department of Consumer Affairs to the business (sole proprietor, partnership, corporation or LLC). Employees and apprentices working under the control and supervision of a licensed locksmith do not need their own license, but the licensee must give the county the names of every employee who performs locksmith services or has access to locksmith tools. Covers locks, electronic locking devices, safes, vaults and safe-deposit boxes, including automobile technicians and those who originate keys.
